Migration Services
Overview
WPCloud provides complimentary website migrations performed by our dedicated migration team. This service includes comprehensive testing, security scanning, and verification of your website's functionality before going live on our platform. We handle the entire migration process to ensure a smooth transition to WPCloud's hosting environment.
Prerequisites
- An active WPCloud hosting account
- Access credentials for your current hosting environment
- Admin access to your WordPress site
Migration Team Availability
- Monday to Thursday: 9 AM - 7 PM ET
- Friday: 10 AM - 6 PM ET
- Migrations are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis
Expected Timeframes
- Standard scheduling: Within 24 hours of request
- Peak periods: Up to 48 hours
- Average migration duration: 60-90 minutes
Required Information
To request a migration, submit a support ticket with the following details:
- Site Information:
- Domain name
- Current hosting provider
- Preferred migration type (live or development environment)
- Access Credentials:
- WordPress admin username and password
- cPanel login credentials (if applicable)
- FTP credentials including hostname
Important:
Please verify all credentials before submission to avoid delays.

Important Considerations
Special Requests

Security Requirements
- Sites must be free of malicious content
- WPCloud does not migrate actively hacked sites
- Compromised sites require professional cleaning by a third party before migration
- All security scanning is performed post-migration on WPCloud servers
Third-Party Sites
- No changes are made to the original site
- All testing and modifications occur on WPCloud servers only
